Nadine West- Newer Fashion and Accessories Box Review

Image

The Package- Nadine West packages look a lot like Ipsy but that’s fine with me! Love these!

Image

This was my whole package- Isn’t it cute! Thank you note and all!

Image

This is the outfit with the jewelry that I received.

Image

The earrings on me. So cute.

Image

Just the accessories.

just added to post— use code BudgetBeauty2014 to get $10 in jewelry

Nadine West is a newer service that is FREE, yup, absolutely free.

It’s similar to other subscriptions and boxes in the sense that they have you fill out a style profile quiz/survey. After you make your style profile, they will send you a shirt or a dress with 2-3 pieces of jewelry every month.

You only are billed for what you keep.

So review time- 1) sign up and take the style quiz

2) Every month, you’ll receive a package with an outfit tailored to your personal style.

3) There is a two week time frame to keep the pieces before you are charged. Which is pretty awesome!

4) You won’t pay shipping and there are “no sneaky catches”. The only charges that you will encounter are for outfits/pieces kept over the 2-Week limit. Every item will have an associated price between $9.99-$29.99

The one thing that they do, is authorize the credit card that you provide for the amount of the items sent. You will not be charged if you don’t want any of it (it will show as pending until you decide what you want to do) or if you send it back within the two week period. If they didn’t charge some kind of cost, I’m sure people would just keep most of their stuff without paying!

When you get their package they send a card with the prices of all the items and directions on how to go about mailing back what you don’t want. They even send return labels with their address and yours put on the label, stickers to seal the envelope and return postage.

I got sent this package for review. I got a really cute and soft black tank with white lace back. I also got a small bag of jewelry with two pieces of jewelry in it. There was a dragonfly necklace that was long with a brassy color and a turquoise colored center. I also got really cute black “dangley” earrings.

I liked the look of the earrings and the shirt together a lot.. The dragonfly necklace kinda through me for a loop. Do you think it matches?  I think, once it’s put all together it looks OK, but I. personally, would have picked a different necklace. Once it’s all together it does look cute though.

What do you think? At least I definitely love the shirt and earrings!

Ok now for the real details about Nadine West subscription.

To sign up is free.

The actual costs are:

Red Bagged Items: $24.99

Purple Bagged Items: $17.99

Black Bagged Items: $9.99
Shirts: $13.49
Like I said they do ‘authorize’ your credit card for the amount of the items. You will never be charged for the actual amount/the pending charge will not go through unless you don’t return the items.
Here what they say on their site:
From Nadine West: “Short Answer: The Pending Charge will NOT apply to your account until the end of your two-week period is up (if you keep all/some of the items). It is only present to ensure you have enough funds on your card to cover the potential charge amount. At the end of the two week period, the reserved funds will vanish without capturing the amount on your card if you do not choose to keep items. This method is NOT charging and refunding an amount as the pending amount never pushes through as an actual charge.

The best part, besides the FREE and that you keep stuff for up to two weeks, is that you can SKIP months! As most of my reader’s know- I LOVE SUBS THAT LET YOU SKIP MONTHS!!

I’m so broke this month- and I can’t even tell you how many subs I just ‘lost’ because they wouldn’t let me skip a month… There was even one that I finally came up with the money for and they refused to let me keep my points that I had racked up! Lame. That’s another post in itself though!

If you want to skip or cancel just email MyOutfits@NadineWest.com

Their website is pretty easy  www.nadinewest.com

Their Facebook https://www.facebook.com/NadineWestOutfits

They are pretty easy if you want to change your stuff around. Like, if you want just jewelry they will do it. If you want just more expensive things, they will do it, etc.

So I think that’s it…. I was on a roll with this post and then the baby woke up… now I am all lost lol.

What do you think? I would love to sign up for good but for now it must wait… sadly.

If I did miss any of your questions they do have an “about’ section and answer many questions, ones I didn’t even think of.

Go To Gift for the Fisher Man in Your Life- Tackle Grab Review

Real First Look at Everything

Gambler Shakey Shad, Angler’s Choice Speed Bug- will be using both of these!

Fishbelly Samuri Twin Spin Spinner Bait, Eco Pro Tungsten Heavyweight Flipping Jig

Reaction Strike Revolution Shad

I had the chance to review a box for Tackle Grab and I jumped at the chance. My Fiance and I always take the kids fishing in the summer/spring at a few lakes in our area. Also, with Christmas coming up I figured I could gift the pieces that I got to my fiance. But when I got the box I handed it to him and said Merry Christmas, now help me write the review! So I guess I ruined my idea. Oh well. He was still happy.

What is it? Tackle Grab is a monthly subscription for anyone who wants to try out some new lures. They will send you at least $16 worth of ‘bait’/lures every month.

How do I get it? You go to tacklegrab.com, choose the monthly plan that’s best for you, take the Angler profile quiz to help decide what lures are best for you, and VOILA you get your monthly box tailored to what lures are best for you based on your profile. The boxes are said to show up on the 20th of every month with the cut off for payments being the 10th.

“Look forward to receiving high-end baits and terminal tackle every month that are tailored to your fishing needs.”

Any available discounts? For Black Friday you can enter code TackleGrab20 to save 20% off a subscription. The code works whether it’s for you or a gift subscription.

How much is it? The monthly plans (all with ‘free shipping’) they have are (before any discounts):

3 months for $42

6 months for $78

12 months for $144

For a limited time they are offering sign ups for the “month-to-month” plan for $5. (I don’t think the Black Friday discount applies to the $5)

How’d you like your box? We were pretty happy! We can pretty much use everything in this box except the huge fish lure. We are pretty sure that one is for ocean/deep sea fishing… We might be wrong but we don’t know any fresh water fish that are big enough to eat that!

Since this box was for review we didn’t get to take the profile quiz so they just sent us a sample box. We were pretty happy to get the two packages of rubber worms. Although one of them says ‘salt flavor’ so we are thinking that one might be for ocean fishing. He was most happy to get the Twin Spin spinning bait. He has been wanting to buy one and putting it off. So this was a pretty great box for us.

I am not too sure when the Black Friday special end… I will find out and post in comments… Sorry about that!

Cate & Chloe VIP Box Review and Giveaway Info

What you are seeing:

Cate & Chloe VIP Box Sample

Erica Noble Ring, $99

Ella Bright Stud Earrings, $125

(This review is stressing me out because I am under so much pressure to tell you all about this awesome service and not bore you to death with details…

Here goes-)

The people at Cate & Chloe sent me a box to review and are going to send one lucky reader a piece from their website! Read on for details….

If you want jewelry and accessories that will get tons of compliments yet it’s affordable, then I have something to tell you- you will LOVE this subscription service! Cate and Chloe VIP monthly service has affordable, classic, beautiful jewelry for any occasion. Best of all it’s not fake junk that will turn you green!

This is a sample of what Cate & Chloe’s monthly box and jewelry look like except I can’t capture the true beauty of the jewelry in the pictures (and you will only get one piece at a time wrapped up like a beautiful present). I loved the Erica Noble ring on the site and I love it more in person. The sparkle on it is amazing. The Ella Bright Stud earrings are from the Simulated Diamond Collection and unless you are looking with a microscope then you really can’t tell they aren’t real! They have intricate silver detailing on the sides. They are a little big for my ears for daily wear but would look awesome a little dressed up either date night or formal.

The quality of both pieces was amazing. The ring was so heavy and I bumped it a few times and nothing happened to it. Thank God. The earrings were really made very well and the posts were very sturdy. Both made very well!

They will send you two pieces of jewelry a month for $39.99 and it will be worth at least $200 or more. As a VIP you will receive the most popular pieces and one will be an unreleased, “exclusive” piece. Also, when you become a VIP any shipping on any purchase will become FREE shipping! I love that part. You will also get a 20% off VIP member discount on any purchases even sale items! I love that too. I just bought earrings that were worth $125 and I got them for $20 for their Good Morning America sale! (I am starting my VIP membership soon but if I had already had it I would’ve gotten them for another $4 off! Crazy!) You can also return or exchange anything you don’t love.
Tell me these perks don’t sound amazing!

***********Now if you weren’t already ‘sold’ on this concept- my reader’s will get an extra 10% off their membership price!

Use code BeautyBudget2013  upon your VIP sign up. The discount will go thru right away. (If you should happen to have trouble, which I don’t think you will, you can either let me know or contact their support at support@cateandchloe.com and tell them that you were sent by Budget Beauty blog and you should be getting your 10% off reader discount!)

If you have questions you can read the FAQ here

https://www.cateandchloe.com/Articles.asp?ID=259

Now about the jewelry and the subscription- It is a recurring charge and the charge will happen either at the beginning or middle depending on when you sign up. They will send one piece at the beginning of the month and one toward the middle. You can cancel anytime.

And I just spoke with my ‘person’ and I was told that if you want to skip a month- just shoot them an email (support@cateandchloe.com) and let them know that you would like to skip that month. I love when subscriptions let you skip! You shouldn’t have to cancel just because you don’t have the money one month (or two lol).

Check out their pages of sparkly jewelry at affordable pricing at http://www.cateandchloe.com. Their jewelry pieces are inspired by their favorite designers and their pieces can be worn day or night, work or play.

When I first found their website I was in love. I saw the Erica Noble ring and I love big sparkly statement rings, and this is a big, beautiful ring! It’s not too big but it’s perfect enough for me to wear during the day and at night to go somewhere nice.

They have sterling plated jewelry, gold plated jewelry, and rhodium jewelry so you will never turn green. Their Simulated Diamond and Swarovski collections are to die for. Their jewelry is comparable to Swarovski jewelry if you are wondering what it may be like. I have a huge problem with turning green with any fake jewelry and I didn’t turn green with this because it was rhodium and sterling plated.

So I will be signing up for the VIP, I don’t know about you. I loved their stuff when I first saw it online and loved it more in person. I will review the earrings I got from the GMA sale when I get them.

So want to have a piece of their jewelry for yourself?

Giveaway time? Why Not! The people at Cate & Chloe have been so kind to not only send me a box to review but to give one reader a piece from their site! The piece up for grabs is to be picked by me but I may leave it up to you! I will either pick the piece that get’s the most ‘votes’ in the comments on here or Facebook or if you are picky, I will let you pick your own. (Well their people told me I could pick so I will ask if you can but what is the difference?)

I will be making a Rafflecopter for this shortly so stay tuned… This one will be a little different because I had so many issues last time! Not only will you have to fill out the Rafflecopter but you have to comment here or on Facebook to qualify.

The Rafflecopter will be up shortly!

Quickie Fabletics Review November

http://www.fabletics.com/invite/20327822/

If you want to check out Fabletics’ awesomely soft sweatshirts/Tshirts and nice pants then click my link (click the blue/aqua title and it will bring you to their site) and you will only pay $25-30 for a full 2-3 piece outfit instead of $50 which is obv half off. That is their deal right now when you first sign up. You can also sign up and then cancel or just skip months. I love sub services that let you skip instead of just cancelling.

I do not recommend their padded sports bras- read on for more info.

I posted this as a comment on panther blog but it as so long I figured I would just use it as my review here.

I had very mixed feelings about Fabletics…. I wanted to try them becauseI heard good things and I did get fifty percent off for three items.

The first thing I didn’t like was they were almost sold out of everything I liked in my size. Also, most stuff I wanted, I didn’t like the other parts. Like one of the sweatshirts I liked (I got with capris) but they showed it with shorts too, I live in Massachusetts and its freezing for capris and for shorts. But the long pants I wanted were either sold out in my size or in black or went with really ugly tops or even colder tank tops.
Anyway, I got my stuff yesterday, not happy at all. I love the sweatshirt and I like that pants.  The sweatshirt is so soft, I could live in it!  However, I am usually a medium or large so I figured I would get a large for the sweatshirt to be a little roomy. It is sooooo long and the sleeves go like six inches past my hands! Which looks ridiculous because the sweatshirt has thumb holes so when I used the thumb holes it gets all bunched up with the extra material. I will have to call about a medium, I really liked the pink and grey sweatshirt that looks off the shoulder and like a baseball tee. But they don’t have mint or black to match the pants I got….I honestly don’t even like the mint color that I got for my sweatshirt but they didn’t have black and they didn’t have any pants that matched the other colors! I want a matching outfit!
Then the worst part was the bra that I paid an extra $20 for because I needed one (and one didn’t come with the outfit that I liked)because I’m flat. Anyway, I got the Kokimo in black in a large. I will DEFINITELY be returning it, the pads/cups are already all out of place. Well one is ok and the other one is all messed up. And the band because of the cups being messed up also was twisting under, and that’s without washing or wearing. So I can’t imagine how bad it will get.
So disappointed.
Also, the pants I got were pretty good. I also got a large but I think I could fit in a medium, the legs were nice and compressed but it was a little loose on my stomach, which might be good so I don’t have rolls showing or “muffin top”.
All in all, not a great experience. Now I have to wait til Mon or Tues (because the holiday) to see what can be done about my sweatshirt and bra….They claim that if you don’t like something that you can exchange it for whatever you want…. so we shall see what happens. I will keep you updated.

But like I said- I got the sweatshirt of my dreams!

Wantable.com Intimates Review (November Box)

Wantable.com Intimates Review (November Box)

I had the chance to review a box for Wantable.com and I picked Intimates because I already get the other two boxes (makeup and accessories).

This is my video on YouTube but there will be a more ‘formal’ review here probably on Sunday night or Monday for those who don’t want to watch the video. It’s really not that entertaining lol

I am in love with this box and I will be cancelling my makeup box just to get this box!

This is my 2nd video review and I am still not that great at it. Any advice would be appreciated. Please be kind. You don’t need to be mean with the advice- there are nice ways to say things 🙂

I know my table was a mess and I know at one point you can see my HILARIOUS black socks with florescent yellow toes! Maybe Wantable intimates should send me some socks! haha I did put those on my love list but I didn’t get any.

So stay tuned for the real blog review on Sunday night or Monday. I just wanted to do a box opening on YouTube. I figure if I can get a couple new people to see me on YouTube I will get some new readers here.

Also, there will be a new GIVEAWAY starting very soon on my Facebook/Blog. I am waiting to hear back from Cate & Chloe. It is pretty much already set up but I am just fine tuning the details. So stay tuned for that. The giveaway is either going to be $125 Diamond Simulated earrings or something else from their website.

So check out Wantable.com and I highly suggest all their boxes but this one has by far been the best.

Here is a link if you want to check them out. They also have three Limited Edition Holiday makeup boxes right now.

https://www.wantable.com/invite/zzbuCic-dfE

Also, If you decide to sign up for more than one box instead of being $36 sometimes they give you a $4 discount for already being a member. So I got the makeup box first and then I got $4 off my accessories box which is the whole reason I decided to get it.

Have a great weekend and don’t forget to say Hi on my Facebook page and tell all your friends about it and this blog 🙂

My first YouTube Video Review (New Beauty Test Tube)

My first YouTube Video Review (New Beauty Test Tube)

Hey guys- this is my first YouTube video ever. I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try reviewing on YouTube out.  I am too camera shy to be in front of the camera so I did it behind and just showed you the box and product. I am actually not shy but I think I look horrible with the reverse screen thingy the Ipad does and it’s too hard to film myself talking.

I know the video is not top notch. It was kind of a practice dry run to see how I did at “improv” and just see how it went in general. I did wayyyy better than I thought I was going to.

It is a little shaky and unfocused at spots and toward the end my baby woke up and wouldn’t stop crying for her Daddy. So like I said, it’s just a practice. But I did want to post it so you guys could tell me how I did and if my voice was annoying or anything like that.

I wanted it to be a lot longer and more informational but the baby needed Mommy and I couldn’t keep going.

Later I will probably do one for Cate & Chloe so you can see their jewelry. My photos don’t capture all the sparkle.

I only have an IPad so it’s hard for me to film and look at products. I don’t have a stand either, I am going to have to buy one.

So I hope you enjoy it, at least a little bit. And the ones to come will be way better I hope 🙂
